  • Submit your private inquiry

    Tell us about your home, your animals, your dates, and what matters most to you. The inquiry is completely free -no commitment, no payment. Just a conversation starter between you and Katelyn.

  • Katelyn reviews your submission

    Every inquiry is personally reviewed — not by an algorithm, not by a team. Katelyn reads your profile and identifies the sitter in the Merit network whose experience, temperament, and availability align with your home and animals.

  • Review your match & confirm

    When your match is identified, your sitter has already reviewed your home and said yes. You'll receive their full profile knowing the interest is mutual. The $300 placement fee is collected here - only after a match has been found. Never before.

  • Meet your Merit sitter

    Katelyn makes the formal introduction. From there, you and your sitter connect directly - walk the property, introduce your animals, discuss expectations, and confirm everything feels right. You always have the right to decline.

  • Leave with complete peace of mind

    Your home, your animals, your property — in the hands of a vetted professional who earned their place in this network. Travel freely. Merit handled the hard part.

THE PLACEMENT FEE

Merit operates on a straightforward fee structure with no surprises and no upfront costs.

  • Submitting an inquiry is completely free. No payment, no commitment.

  • A one-time $300 placement fee is collected only after a match has been identified and you are ready to move forward.

  • This fee covers the matching and introduction process - not the outcome. All rate arrangements are made directly between you and your sitter.

  • If your first match isn't the right fit, one complimentary rematch is included. Additional matches are available for $150 each.
